Orillia soon will have a brand new presence on the internet.
Council committee has recommended to council the city employ the services of E-Solutions Group of Waterloo to upgrade its website.
Council was told the goal is to makde it more user-friendly and welcoming to the disabled.
That is because pending Provincial Legislation requires municipalities to ensure their websites comply with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act.
The cost of the redesign is about 134 thosuand dollars with an annual cost of just under 13 thosuand for support services.
Council was told the updated website could be operational as soon this September
