OPP responded to a report of a number of assaults and a threatening at a residence located on Highway 11, just east of the 7th Line in Oro-Medonte Township shortly after 11 p.m. last night.
As they investigated, the OPP closed Hwy. 11 southbound at the 9th Line of Oro-Medonte and northbound at the 5th Line in the interest of public safety until 6 this morning.
Just before 5:30 a.m. today, a 51-year old male surrendered to police and the incident ended peacefully. The man has taken to the Barrie OPP Detachment where the investigation is continuing.
