Couchiching Jubilee House well on the way towards securing funding for a new transition house in Orillia.
Today, the organization announces the most ambitious project in its history a capital campaign to purchase a permanent facility for women and children who need transitional housing.
The goal of the Changing Lives Building Futures campaign is $500,000.
Jubliee House says that 97% per cent of this goal has been secured through major gift commitments from private and corporate donors.
The campaign committee is now wants the Orillia community to help secure the long-term future of its new transitional house.
With the secured donor commitments to date, a new house been purchased in a confidential downtown location and CJH residents will begin moving into their new home this summer.
The house features four independent apartment units, a community room for residents and CJH programming, and a private backyard.
