Orillia’s Rick Ball has been named Ontario’s male athlete with a disability of the year.
Ball, lost his leg in a motorcycle accident 24 years ago.
The Orillia Packet and Times reports that 45-year old was honored at the Ontario Sport Awards in Toronto this past Thursday.
Ball was quoted as saying “It’s one of the highlights of my career for sure to win that award” adding “It’s nice to be recognized for my hard work and achievements.”
Ball was named Orillia’s athlete of the year back in 2008.
