A packed house at the Orillia Council Chambers last night to here from the five candidates seeking election in the riding of Simcoe North.
The candidates fielded numerous questions from the standing room only crowd dealing with everything from the environment, health care, international relations, job creation, abortion and honesty of government.
Conservative candidate and incumbent MP Bruce Stanton says the government must continue with its economic action plan to keep the economy on track.
Green party Candidate Valerie Powell says one of the issues she is hearing about in the riding is trust and what party can deliver on that message.
Liberal Candidate Steve Clark went immediately on the attack accusing the Conservative Government of ruining Canada’s reputation on the world stage and giving the country a black eye because of poor environmental policies.
NDP Candidate Richard Banigan says people in this riding say they are concerned about leadership and just which party can lead the country.
Christian Heritage Candidate Adrian Kooger says the current immigration policies should be put on hold for the time being.
