It’s the final hours to catch a winning perch.
The deadline for handing in a fish at Orillia’s 30th annual Perch festival is 4 pm this afternoon.
Festival Organizer Doug Bunker admits the wet and cold weather this year has keep the number of anglers at lower levels than in previous years, but while the numbers were down the enthusiasm was up.
He says to date they have landed 23 tagged fish each worth 500 dollars, but no one has pulled in either of the Casino Rama $3000 fish.
Bunker says the officiall wrap up goes tonight at ODAS Park starting at 7pm with lost of prizes to be won.
