The 30th annual Orillia Perch Festival is all wrapped up now.
All told 24 or 72 tags came in this year, all of them worth $500.
Those two Casino Rama perch tagged at $3000 went uncaught, but someone did get a hold of our Sunshine 89.1 perch.
Festival Director Doug Bunker says there were many happy anglers during last night’s closing ceremonies at ODAS Park, the big winner of the Lund fishing boat was Calvin Pitts of Grimsby.
Bunker says despite the lower then normal numbers this year, the event was an overall success.
The Perch Festival might have wrapped up, but Bunker says we still have plenty to look forward to this summer; including the Spring Boat and Cottage Outdoor Show June 10th, 11th, and 12th which coincides with the 2nd annual Blues Festival.
