The police investigation continues into a stabbing incident that occurred at a home in Orillia on Sunday afternoon.
Orillia OPP say a man and woman forced themselves into a home on Albert St. North, then assaulted another person who was in the home at the time.
A man was taken to hospital with several stab wounds to his chest area.
Police report that he has been treated and released from hospital.
Two people are now facing attempted murder charges.
43 year old Wayne Campbell and 36 year old Michelle Tennant have been charged with attempted murder, possession of a weapon for dangerous purposes, robbery with intent and unlawfully in a dwelling, with Campbell additionally being charged with utter threat to cause death or bodily harm.
Both suspects are still in custody awaiting a bail hearing
