A Safe Kids Canada grant of $500 has gone a long way in Orillia.
The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit, with the support of Canadian Tire, were able to purchase 10 car seats, which have been donated to Green Haven and the Couchiching Jubilee House.
The official presentation was made yesterday, Saturday June 4th, during the Orillia Safe Kids event.
Executive Director at Green Haven, Liz Westcott, says the donation gives them them the opportunity to safely transport children, without having to borrow car seats.
Executive Director at the Couchiching Jubilee House Charlene Taylor says this donation is extremely helpful to the families they help, as well as to their volunteers.
