The OPP investigation into the murder of an Orillia Man one year ago continues, with police now saying they are in possession of DNA evidence that will help find out who the killer is.
Det. Inspector Chris Gilpin says they have been talking to numerous people since 58 year old Gord Evans was found dead in his apartment on June 29 th of last year.
She says in addition they now haveĀ DNA evidence and further testing is underway and police expect the results will lead to the identification of whoever is responsible for the murder.
Evans’s sister, Marie McKenzie, spoke at the press conference and appealed for the public to come forward with information.
Gilpin’s message to the killer or killers was straightforward: “We’re coming for you.”
