A scary situation for a Colderwater woman yesterday in Orillia.
At approximately 1:30 pm, a pedestrian was struck while crossing at the intersection of Front Street and Mississaga Street in the city of Orillia.
Orillia Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended the scene.
The 31 year old female pedestrian was transported by ambulance to Orillia Soldiers Memorial Hospital.
She is reported to have minor injuries.
The driver of the vehicle, a 38 year old male from Mississauga , was charged with Failing to Yield to a Pedestrian.
Police would like to take this opportunity to remind motorists to look all ways before proceeding at any intersection.
The advice for pedestrians is to be aware of your surroundings and be sure to make eye contact with drivers when walking on the roadway and crossing the street.
