Traffc on the highway 400 extension is back to normal this hour, after both north and south bound lanes were closed because of a fatal accident this morning.
Two men are dead after being struck by a tractor-trailer early in the southbound lanes of Highway 400.
The pair were killed instantly.A preliminary investigation by the OPP indicates the men had been standing near the rear of their disabled transport truck when they were struck by another southbound truck.
They were being assisted by the driver of a large heavy tow truck when the crash occurred, and that both vehicles were on the southbound shoulder at the time.
The driver of the tow truck was not injured.
All lanes of the highway were closed initially as the investigation and clean up took place.
