Lots of fun activity, good food and shopping happening tomorrow and Saturday in Downtown Orillia. It’s the annual Leacock Street Festival and Sidewalk Sale.
Assistant Manager of the Orillia Downtown Management Board, Jody Wilson says there will be some 150 merchants bringing their best to the street for the sale, along with free samples of delicious treats and product demonstrations.
But it’s not just about shopping and eating. There is a host of fun activities planned. You can step back in time this weekend and play some old time games like bean bag toss or Pin The Moustache on Stephen Leacock. Maybe visit a fortune teller, or perhaps have your picture taken in a life size cutout of a costume from another era.
The Rock Wall is back again and there is also free horsedrawn wagon rides around the downtown area. And for just $2 you can try your hand at Olympic Joisting. There will be non-stop entertainment as well, with 5 stages with 14 musical acts.
The Board invites everyone to come down and have a fun time. It’s all happening from 9am to 7pm Friday and 9 to 6 on Saturday.
