A lot of bookworms in Orillia.
This past Tuesday was the busiest the Orillia Public Library has ever seen as far as checking out material was concerned.
Joyce Dempsey of Circulation Services says on Tuesday, the day after the long weekend, they checked out over 1500 items to library users.
She says they had people lined up at our door before they opened, and it was non-stop all day long.
It wasn’t only books, DVDs and CDs that were popular that day.
Public internet computers were in high demand, and the library was bursting at the seams in the afternoon with a free children’s program for kids in grades 1-4.
