The Simcoe County District School Board, in partnership with VocaLinks, is providing a unique learning opportunity for special needs students.
The Summer Assistive Technology Camp – taking place this week – is designed to reinforce and strengthen the computer and assistive technology skills of students with learning disabilities.
Connie Gray with the School Board says the program is a first for the Board and the response has been good – especially since the program is full.
Gray says the way the Board instructs special needs students is constantly evolving to include new and innovative teaching methods.
She adds the Summer Assitive Technology Camp would not be possible without their partnership with VocaLinks – referring to them as a major partner in this initiative.
