The Ontario Fire Marshall’s office and the Muskoka Crime Unit are investigating a fire in a Port Sydney cottage that claimed the life of a 31-year old Mississauga woman.
Huntsville OPP and the Port Sydney fire department were called to the cottage just after 6:30 on Saturday morning to find the cottage totally engulfed. Natalie Howell perished in the blaze. Her two daughters aged 14 and 11 managed to escape, along with 29-year old Steven Brent, also of Mississauga.
