Friday marks a remarkable business milestone in Orillia.
The 40th Anniversary of a main street clothing outlet.
It was on August 26th 1971 that Ralph and Frank Cipolla opened what was then called the CC Pant Shop a store that provided fashion attire for a younger generation.
Of course the rest is history as the business boomed and expanded over the years and evolved into the current CC Fashion outlet.
Ralph Cipolla says there are several reasons for the four decades of success of their business and loyalty to their customers is the number one priority.
He also says his store is purchasing more of its fashions from Canadian producers and shopping locally is a good way to ensure continued growth in the community.
Cipolla says by offering top of the line fashions at reasonable prices in Orillia, people don’t have to travel out of town to Toronto to keep up to date as far as their clothing is concerned.
He predicts in the future they will become more involved in on line shopping, but he personally does not like that trend.
Cipolla says personal interaction with the customer is important to him and its the personal service that keeps his customers coming back to his store.
The official anniversary celebrations get underway at 11 this morning with Mayor Angelo Orsi and council will visit the store.
Cioplla says even after 40 years, people still want to get into their pants.
