Efforts continue to raise funds for a proposed affordable housing complex in Severn Falls for mature adults.
Jack Nolan is one of those involved in so called Severn Park development and says they now are working with the Township to get the necessary permits that would allow them to begin construction on the 40 unit complex.
He says they are getting ready to present Severn Township with a site plan of the proposed development and then if everything moves forward they could get a shovel in the ground by the spring.
Nolan says the project could have moved ahead faster except they had to undertake numerous environmental studies on the land and water and that took more time that they anticipated.
This weekend a community yard sale will be held to help raise funds to support efforts to get this project off the ground.
It takes place Saturday at the old MNR building in Severn Falls starting at 8 a.m.
