It is the last hoorah of the summer…the last long weekend.
OPP want to remind you that you need to take care as you head out on the highways and on the waterways this weekend. They are set to do everything within their means and available resources to keep year-to-date fatality rates as low as possible. So far this year 192 people have died on Ontario roads…and that’s down over 7 percent from 2010.
To keep the numbers down, the OPP will be highly visible on roads, highways, lakes rivers and trails…targeting impaired drivers, distracted drivers, aggressive drivers and making sure you’re wearing your seat belts.
So enjoy the last summer long weekend…and stay safe.
