It’s the first of what organizers hope will be an annual event in support of the OPP Museum in Orillia.
Norm Feaver, President of the Friends of the OPP Museum, says the first bike ride in support of the museum attracted over 80 riders this Thursday.
The cyclists rode through a 50 kilometre loop through Oro Medonte – while some riders completed the ride twice.
Feaver expects the ride will raise thousands of dollars for the museum.
He adds the Friends of the OPP Museum are working on some different fundraisers in the near future – pending the success of the bike rise.
