Orillia OPP have now laid charges following an accidential discharge of a fire arm at Elwood Epps sporting goods store last week.
Last Wednesday Orillia OPP responded to a call in Severn Township of two persons injured after an unsafe discharge of a firearm.
Two men had entered a sporting goods store on Highway 11 and a firearm was placed on the counter of the store when it discharged.
Two males were injured. One critically.
The Orillia OPP Crime Unit has now concluded its probe into this incident, and as a result a 53 year old Mactier man has been charged.
Peter Arnold has been charged with Careless Use of a Firearm , Breach of Regulation of the Firearm’s Act, Criminal Negligence Causing Bodily Harm
He will be appearing in an Orillia Court in early November.
The 26 year old injured male victim is still in Sunnybrook Hospital in stable condition with critical injuries.
