The Ford government is going to lower college and university tuition fees by 10 per cent.
The average university student will save $660 and college students can expect to pay $340 less.
The current tuition fee framework expires at the end of this academic year.
The money students will save is also money the colleges had been banking on.
A formal announcement about the fee cut is expected on Thursday.
