Emergency responders taking part in a huge table top emergency exercise Thursday in Simcoe County.
Manager of 911 and Emergency Planning for the County Cathy Clark says this exercise is called Operation Plugged in, and will simulate a massive ice and snow storm that knocks power out to the County for up to three weeks.
Clark says says about 160 participants will be taking part, representing both public and private agencies.
Clark also says part of the exercise is to get information out to the public on how they can stay warm and safe during a winter power outage.
She says there is a lot of emergency planning information on the county s website
