Re elected Simcoe North conservative MPP Garfield Dunlop tearing a strip off Elections Ontario for the historic low voter turnout in this provincial election.
Just over 50 per cent of eligible voters in the riding voted this time, down from the 55 per cent last election.
Dunlop says many people did not get voter registration cards and probably just gave up trying to get on the voters list.
He says he received many complaints about people not knowing where to vote.
Dunlop the frustration of not knowing where to vote and the effort it took to get on the voters list is probably why a lot of people did not cast their ballots.
That resulted in a historic low number of people turning out to vote in the Simcoe North riding, just over 50 per cent.
Dunlop say Elections Ontario had four years to get ready for this election and everything should have run like clock work.
