OPP detachments across the region are dealing with an escalating number of calls regarding trespassing.
It appears these types of calls for service take place during hunting season.
OPP Constable Martin Hachey says property owners with large lots need to clearly indicate the perimeter of their property with proper signage.
Hachey says hunters will often trespass on private property without even knowing about it.
He adds if you do find someone trespassing on your property – simply inform them they are on private property.
If the trespasser chooses not to leave – call the police.
