Good news for the Sharing Place Food Bank.
Orillia food bank supporters raise $1,767 through Kraft online fundraiser
Food Bank Official Don Evans says the fundraiser concluded on November 15, having reached the $50,000 goal established by Kraft Canada and Food Banks Canada.
People across Canada were invited to click on www.kraftassists.ca, where they entered their name, email address and favourite food bank among the 30 listed.
They could do so every day for as long as the fundraiser lasted.
Evans says friends of The Sharing Place rallied and, when all was said and done, the Orillia food bank ranked sixth in terms of number of registered supporters.
He says with Christmas approaching its time to feed the food bank once again.
Evans says this Sunday’ s Santa Claus Parade is a good way to donate food, as people will be collecting non perishable food items all along the parade route.
