Provincial politiciansĀ are onĀ their winter break, but it doesn’t look like anyone’s in the holiday spirit.
Simcoe North Conservative MPP Garfield Dunlop says in the past three weeks since the Legislature has returned, there really has not been much spirit of cooperation between the Liberals and the Conservatives or the NDP.
He says politically not a lot was accomplished although the throne speech was passed.
Dunlop says the Conservatives voted against it because they did not feel it created enough jobs.
He says in effect the last few weeks was nothing more than a learning experience for the new MPP’s
Dunlop sAys a perfect example of the lack of co operation that still exists at Queens Park was the new anti bullying legislation introduced by the Government.
He says Tory MPP Elizabeth Witmer had spend several years working on her own anti bullying bill only to have the Liberals basically steal here proposals.
