The value of building activity in Orillia is keeping up its strong pace half way through the year.
For the first six months of the year the value of construction activity in the city is listed at 59.1 million dollars, compared to the 51.1 million dollars for the same time one year ago.
In May 1.5 million dollars worth of residential building permits were issued, 1.1 million dollars worth of comerical permitsĀ and 160 thousand worth of industrial permits were issued as well.
The city has collected 503 thousand dollars worth of permit fees so far this year and development charges have totaled 1.1 million dollars.
