Police in Barrie are investigating an attempted armed robbery at a west end gas bar.
Two suspects went into the gas station early Saturday morning and were confronted by an employee.
Police say a can of pepper spray was discharged in the altercation and the gas bar attendant was struck with a weapon.
The two suspects fled and the canine unit was able to track them to a nearby road where the suspects got away in a vehicle.
Police are looking for any tips from the public.
And officers in Barrie are also looking for a woman suspected of running off with a cash box from a downtown french fry truck early this morning.
The suspect is a white woman, about 20 years old with a shaved head.
