Simcoe County Council has approved the $548 million budget for 2019.
Residents will see a two per cent increase on the County portion of their municipal property taxes or $5.70 per $100,000 of property assessment.
Some of the highlights include $73 million for paramedic services, $88 million for social housing, $60 million for long term care and seniors service, as well as $46 million for waste management.
The tax increase does not apply to residents of Orillia or Barrie.
