A 57 yr old Collingwood man has been charged with two counts of 2nd Degree Murder following the discovery of two bodies at a residence on Georgian Blue (formerly Matthew Way) yesterday.
Officers from the Collingwood and The Blue Mountains detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Crime Unit are continuing their investigation. The names of the victims are being withheld pending positive identification and next of kin notifications.
Police say a fight occurred at the residence shortly after 1:30 a.m. on January 22nd.
It is believed a third person, who fled the scene, accompanied the two deceased individuals to this location. This third person has not been identified by police.
57 yr old Cameron Gardiner has been arrested and charged with two counts of Second Degree Murder. He is currently held for bail with a scheduled court date of January 29th in Barrie.
