The Orillia-area continues to shine when it comes to giving back.
The local Salvation Army Christmas campaign raised nearly $222,000, topping the fundraising goal by $21,000.
All funds will stay in the community.
The Salvation Army expects to offer help to more than 6,000 people in 2019.
The organization also thanks schools, businesses, individuals and groups that supported the campaign, including more than 500 volunteers.
