Orillia Soldiers Memorial Hospital, in conjunction with the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit (SMDHU), declared an Outbreak on the Soldiers One medical unit earlier Friday
Although unconfirmed, a total 3 patients and 7 hospital staff have exhibited Norwalk-like symptoms which include sudden onset of nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and stomach cramps.

No visiting restrictions are being put in place at the hospital but visitors are being advised of the outbreak and asked to wash their hands frequently while in the building, to restrict their visiting to just one room, and not to come to the hospital as a visitor if they are ill.
