Firefighters acted quickly today to save a home after a fire broke out in a dryer.
At 8:41 a.m., Oro-Medonte Fire & Emergency Services responded to a fire alarm that went off at a residential home.
Firefighters quickly determined there was a fire in a running dryer. The flames were quickly extinguished there were no injuries.
Working smoke alarms, combined with a home alarm monitoring company prevented the home being completely lost due to fire.
Residents are reminded to always remain at home while clothes dryers are in use; never leave your home with the dryer running.
