The County of Simcoe is providing incentives to boost affordable housing for seniors.
County council has approved five hundred thousand dollars in annual funding towards the Age Friendly Seniors Housing Grant Program.
Those eligible for the grants include anyone completing housing projects within the county, not including in Barrie and Orillia, as well as homeowners who want to make accessible renovations for someone over the age of 60.
The deadline for grant applications is May 15.
