Parry Sound-Muskoka MP Tony Clement has posted to his Instagram account to address what he terms “a severe personal crisis” that resulted in irrational behaviour for which he takes “full responsibility”.
It’s the first post Clement has made on social media since the sexting scandal.
“I’m so sorry for the damage I’ve done – my remorse knows no bounds” reads part of the post, all of which you can read at his account tonyclementcpc.
Clement also reports that he’s taken needed counseling and that he’s been working on his family life.
“Thanks to the many who offered me and my family encouragement, support and prayers!” the post concludes, “You helped me get through the dark valley I was in.”
