Dozens of motorists it seems felt the road closed signs during Monday's wind and snowstorm did not apply to them.
Huronia West OPP say in Wasaga Beach, Clearview and Springwater, 36 drivers in total were charged with driving a vehicle on a closed highway.
The storm, with winds gusting at times to 100 km/h, caused whiteout conditions on local roads.
