A recent spike in thefts and mischief to unlocked vehicles has police sounding the alarm in the Orillia area.
On Tuesday afternoon, a man entered an unlocked vehicle and used the remote garage door opener to access the victim's garage.
The victim had left his vehicle unlocked for a short period of time while he entered his residence before returning to discover the suspect in his garage.
The suspect fled after a brief altercation and was seen leaving the area on a bicycle.
He’s described as in his late 20's to early 30's, wearing blue jeans, a dark winter coat and a black toque, riding a bicycle with fluorescent green around the handlebars.
