A 22 year old Chinese student who was allegedly abducted from his Markham condominum on Saturday turned up in Gravenhurst.
York Regional Police say Wanzhen Lu showed up at a home on Doe Lake Road and asked for assistance.
Sgt. Andy Pattenden told reporters last night(Tues) that Lu was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Pattenden says Lu has been interviewed by investigators.
The student was with a friend when he was allegedly ambushed by three men, then shocked with a taser several times before being dragged into a van.
Police are searching for four suspects.
Pattenden says a 35 year old man who was arrested in the case yesterday has since been released “unconditionally” with no charges laid against him.
Meantime, Doe Lake Road will remain closed until around noon today between Hwy 11 and Tomingas Road as part of the investigation.
