Orillia's historic train station has been sold, but we may not know for a few weeks who the buyer is or the plans they may have for the Front Street property.
The city has accepted an offer.
The offer is expected to be ratified by city council tonight.
Mayor Steve Clarke can't divulge yet just what the buyer has in store for the property — but the station building is protected.
The exterior must main its heritage look.
Clarke says the buyer is excited about putting some 'things' on that property that will make it more vibrant, and the developer understands the historic significance of the train station.
It may take another few weeks before sale details are finalized, and the identity of the buyer is released.
