A number of pink slips have been handed out to teachers with the Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board.
Collingwood Today reports that more than 37 elementary and high school positions have been cut.
Another 54 positions have been declared surplus. People in those positions will have to relocate to another school and may have to take on a different role within the catholic school board.
Funding amounts for school boards haven't been announced yet. The board may be able to hire some of the positions back.
