The YMCA of Simcoe Muskoka is celebrating a successful fundraising campaign.
The organization reports that the fifth annual Move To Give event on April 6 more than doubled its fundraising goal.
It says that over 17 hundred people across Simcoe Muskoka and Parry Sound took part and raised over two hundred thousand dollars to help members of the communities achieve a healthy lifestyle.
The goal was a hundred thousand dollars.
Events took place in Collingwood, Wasaga Beach, Barrie, Midland, Orillia, Gravenhurst, Innisfil and Parry Sound.
