Silver for Branderhorst
Saugeen Track & Field Club athletes competed at the Canadian U20, Senior and Para Track and Field Championships at Montreal July 24th-28th.
Medal performances were turned in by para athletes Josh Farrell and Rick Carr and high jumper, Emily Branderhorst.
Branderhorst, a first year senior, cleared 173 cm to finish in a tie for second in the Senior Women's High Jump.
Farrell won silver in the Para Ambulatory Shot Put. Josh's 14.22m performance was a personal best and a new Canadian record for the F20 category. His efforts earned him selection to the Canadian team competing in the World Para Championships this fall in Doha, Qatar.
