The Terry Fox Run for cancer research is taking place across the country today.
In Simcoe County, people will run, walk, bike and blade in a number of communities including Barrie and Orillia.
In Barrie Second World War veteran Will Dwyer is going to participate
The 94 year old, who has prostate cancer, has been fundraising for the Terry Fox Foundation for 39 years and this year reached the $1 million mark.
In Orillia, Alexandra Fox, a niece of Terry, will join the festivities.
The goal is to raise at least one dollar per Orillia resident which has been accomplished the last 10 years.
