Barrie Police are investigating a fatal hit and run.
Around 2:45 AM Friday, police were called about an injured man in the intersection of Wellington and Toronto Streets.
When officers arrived, they determined the victim had been struck by a vehicle that had fled the scene and would have significant damage to the front end.
The victim, a 33-year-old Barrie man, was taken to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
Police say the involved vehicle is believed to be a navy blue compact or mid-sized SUV/crossover or mini-van type vehicle.
