RVH (Royal Victoria Hospital) is banning poinsettia plants in the health centre, including Rotary Place, effective immediately.
Due to a life-threatening allergy of one of its team members, the Barrie hospital is introducing this mandatory ban.
It says any poinsettias currently in the building have been safely removed.
Members of the public are asked to not bring poinsettias to the health centre, as RVH ensures it remains a safe workplace for its patients, employees, physicians and volunteers.
