From Kitchener, Feral Minks creates rock music that is apologetically raw and energetic, combining edgy guitars with catchy vocals. Beginning as the solo project of singer and guitarist Kent Merriam, he soon brought in seasoned Kitchener musicians to complete the lineup. Jay Emmons of the glorious songs, along with Steve Kirstein, stepped in to produce the bands sophomore EP after the debut caught their attention. Among other accomplishments, the band earned HTZ FM’s Prestigious Rock Search Title in 2024, played at Meadows Fest 2025, and reached the Top 25 on Canadian Active Rock Charts with their single ‘Matador.’ On Max FM, they won the 2024 Battle of the Bands, and won the opportunity to play the big stage at the 2024 Tall Pines Music & Arts Festival.
