OPP confirm one person is dead and at least 11 people injured after this morning’s multi-vehicle pile up on Hwy 11. OPP closed the highway this morning between Coldwater Road and line 15 in Oro-Medonte and it remains closed. OPP are asking people to avoid unnecessary travel.

Line 15 North closed from Hwy11 to Old Barrie Road
Old Barrie Road to Line 15 N to Memorial Avenue
Memorial Avenue from Hwy 12 to Hwy 11
University Road from old Barrie Road to Diana Drive
Reports are as many as 50 to 60 vehicles were involved in the chain reaction crash near the offramp to Old Barrie Road after poor visibility and blowing snow wreaked havoc this morning.
