A criminal investigation has been launched with regard to the fire in downtown Orillia yesterday.
According to Orillia Matters, OPP say they have a video of what sparked the fire, and it’s of someone lighting a small fire in the area – the video was submitted by a member of the public. Anyone with additional video or information is asked to call OPP.
Meanwhile, Fire Crews remain at the scene of the fire. Large equipment has been brought in to assist Orillia Fire in accessing the building. The area continues to be closed, and the city is asking residents to respect road closures and signage for their own safety and the safety of the crews and teams working on site.
