Residents and businesses in Oro-Medonte are encouraged to participate in a Township wide sports Jersey/Cap Day.
Tomorrow’s (Fri, Nov 5) event is in preparation for the 8th season of Rogers Hometown Hockey, which will take place November 6-8 at Horseshoe Resort.
Share your community spirit by taking photos of yourself, friends, family and pets in your favorite team jersey, cap, or both a jersey and cap of any sport; and post photos on social media. Please tag the Township of Oro-Medonte & Rogers Hometown Hockey and use hashtag #OroMedonteHomeTownHockey in your social media posts.
Mayor Harry Hughes commented that “the community of Oro-Medonte is only 5 days away from what promises to be an exciting festival, celebrating a sport iconic to Canada, with COVID-19 health and safety measures in place. On behalf of the Township, I personally encourage Oro-Medonte residents and business owners to show your hockey team spirit by participating in Jersey and Cap Day on Friday, November 5th.”
Rogers Hometown Hockey is a free Township wide family-friendly festival offering interactive hockey related experiences including: Augmented Reality (AR), live entertainment, NHL® alumni meet & greets, culinary options, partner experiences, and much more.
Festival hours are Saturday, November 6th and Sunday, November 7th from 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
